nice ******* save on his part
Who said fat man can't dance! I've seen some friggen fast fat men...
Clearly he's spinning up the rear, good thing he kept off that rear brake

haha as funny as it sounds, i've actually saved myself from something exactly like that, only going about 25 mph though. i had to use my foot to kick off the ground and hit the throttle at the perfect time to catch it...... did he really end up savin that too? any more pics
yes that last one is the save. he rode off. I somewhat doubt you were that sideways but if you were and saved it
I've been sideways but never in a turn and never that much.

haha trust me it was bad, maybe not that bad but bad. it was more of me being an idiot with the rear brake than anything when i was first learnin how to ride. it only happened once on my very first bike. i only had about 2000 miles riding experience.
i was praciticing locking up my rear brake, usually i'd feel it or hear it... well one time i didnt hear or feel anything i was like that weird? i kept it pressed then next thing you know the rear end of my bike was bucking right to left. my rear end was swinging out just like that... i was about to crash into some parked cars but i somehow saved it with newb luck by kicking off the ground right before i dumped it and hitting the throttle just as it straightened up. my foot hurt like HELL the next day, huge bruise on the bottom.
i've been sideways in turns from too much power/gravel on the ground too but never that bad, i've always saved it before its that bad. or dumped it cause its unsavable
thats amazing he recovered from that.

I have the exact opposite story... in the mid eighties I looped the rear on an on ramp at Culver and 5 fwy in so cal. I was following a porcshe 930 onto the freeway and after going through the corner, a 180 degree loop, we nailed the throttle at about 45-50ish. Immediately looped the rear an the low siding me off. Sideways the bike caught traction and went flipping end over end... luckily I was the only idiot involved, totaled the bike, severely spraining my ankle/leg

those are riding boots... but still jeans - eh. The story is the guy traded his 954 in and got the 1000rr before the annual deals gap trip. Well the 1000rr is 10x better then the 954 and of course he probably pushed too hard on the new bike and he spun the tire

I always tuck, I always have. There is a good reason experienced people(motocrossers, Equestrian, law enforcement, etc) do this...
I can see a newbe just by how he sits on a bike, how his controls are setup or how he's wearing his gear.
Look at that first picture, if anyone doesn't think those flapping cuffs can get caught on something, you are sadly mistaken.

so does the centrifigal rotation of the rear tire and motor help keep the bike upright in situations like that? or does it have more to do with how well u can balance it and let the rear tire catch traction again?
