Front and Rear Strut Bars
I'm looking into getting a front strut bar, but when I was looking around, I came across a Front/Rear Strut Bar Package that comes with both the front and rear strut bars. Is a rear strut bar worth it? Does anyone have any pictures of one installed on their Accord? I know it interferes with your rear seats, so I was just wondering if it was hard to install and what modifications I would have to do, if any.
easy install. not going to bother the rear seats either. it's in the trunk. you may have to cut a little bit of carpet out though. i had to cut plastic panels in my crx to install one.
Yes. I noticed a slight difference during high speed turns when I installed my rear bar. It was really easy, took less than ten mins. However, it is one of those cheap adjustable ones. Stay sway from those if you can, they dont work as well as a solid bar. Does anyone even make a nice rear bar for our car?
When you see people with just the front bars its because thats all they had at pep boys....
The people that have the fronts and the rears have a more stable car and it is noticable

Took you 10 minutes to install a rear?
didn't measure/cut for too long did you lol
I've got a full Cusco AS set, very nice, though if it actually is noticeable or not it's tough to say, my car is fairly slammed so my car doesn't move too much anyways haha.

Haha! Pep boys suck. The only thing i go there to get is tools, bulbs, oil, and some other basic stuff. But back on topic, I guess I will go with the 2 piece package for the front and rear strut bars. I was looking for some red ones to match my intake, but they're hard to find. Everything I find is either polished, gunmetal, aluminum, or carbon fiber. Oh well though, I need something to help my suspension because I don't have enough money yet for better shocks and springs.

Get a rear sway bar instead of strut bars. You probably won't even notice a difference with strut bars.

Slight....I don't think it's worth the money. I got a 20 mm rear sway bar ($50 from acura) for my 6th gen, and I went from constant understeering to being able to slide the back end out at will. That's a huge step up from stock. High speed steering response is amazing.
Strut bar, on the other hand, does nothing to help your suspension. Just some food for thought.

While I agree a rear sway bar will improve the handling of the car (i have a ST rear sway, i love it), the combination of the front and rear strut bars will help stiffen the car. A solid brace will be more effective, and will make more of a difference over a cheap adjustable unit. The ST sway bar @ $189.99 is also much more expensive than the strut bar package the op is looking into. The bars should all be used in conjunction with one another.

Well yeah I understand a sway bar would be way better, but a strut bar could be a start. I will probably get new sway bars in the future, but for now, I think this is what I'll start with.
There's nothing wrong wtih adding more support, but there comes a point where it is kinda ridiculous for a daily driver. Where that point is for you I don't know. I don't think those floor bars would be too intrusive. I've been considering the C pillar bar (think that's the one) the one that stretches across the back seat, but you lose the rear seat belts and becomes a bit more dangerous to sit back there as well.

I assume pep boys is like auto zone or schucks?
I just run a front bar from Neuspeed. My trunk has a stroller in it.

Maybe I'll just stick with the front a rear strut bars I ordered last night. Then in a couple weeks think about getting some new sway bars. Then a bit after that it should be time for new shocks and springs, drop it a couple inches.

I agree with that, but if the OP is on a limited budget and wants to help his suspension, strut bars will not do what he wants. The money is better spent on a rear sway bar. If he doesn't have enough now, he should save up and get a sway bar, instead of spending it now on strut bars, which will have little to no effect, and then saving up all that again and then some to buy a sway bar. I know he got the strut bars already, but I personally would buy a sway bar first, and then if I had money left over, I would get a set of strut bars.
