Default Got a CEL and checked the ECU CODES

Every time my CEL light comes on after I drive 200 miles. I reset the ECU again and again. I check the ECU codes, but I am not sure it's "45" or "54". What should I do if I have these problem ("45- Fuel system too rich or lean" and "CKF - crank fluctuation sensor ")? Can anyone help me? Thanks!

have you done a timing belt change on your car recently? My quick suggestion would be that if you have, than it is possible if you didn't put the cfk wires back into the holder, the timing belt can rub against the wires and eventually start disrupting the sensors signal. what year and model is your civic?

Thanks for the prompt reply. It's Honda Civic 98 LX. I didn't do the timing belt change recently. Also, is the CFK you said the same as CKF?? Sorry, I just got my honda a week ago, and I don't know a lot about cars.

yea its the same, sorry thats a typo on my end. sorry i cannot be of more help, i'm not too familiar with the LX, but it could still be the sensor since its coming on every once in awhile, which could mean the signal is getting interupted somehow. maybe some fellow members will have more input for you. if you can try to get the code again to figure out if its code 45 or 54, that would help.

Thanks! Now, I'm sure it's 45. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

What's the setup? Just stock? How many miles? You're probably looking at a new O2 sensor...

i second that...

i'm too lazy and need to get back to work.... but if you search my posts, i have posted up a few times in the last couple days on how to check your O2S. let us know if that checks out, and we can direct you in the right direction.
