HELP lude keeps overheating, air conditioner doesnt want to work and my abs is always on
well the title pretty much tells u whats wrong. it all started when i put in my short ram intake.
I'm assuming when you say your abs is always on, you are referring to the ABS light, are your fans working? Maybe you blew a bunch of fuses or something and I have no idea how you would manage that
checked all fused, none need replacing. when i turn the car off the fans turn on. all of this happened right after i changed to my short ram intake.

Hmm try this look right under the bend on the intake where the thermistat housing is. See if the yellow plug came undone or you broke the wire going to the therimistat housing. Also make sure you have it plugged into the correct sensor if you took it off. Kinda hard to fix a car with out looking at it these are shots in the dark goodluck keep us posted.

Any coolant leaking? When was the last time you change your thermostate? When was the last time you had your A/C recharged?
some coolant goes missing, i have no idea when the last time the thermostate was changed, i got this car 1 year ago, and the last time i got the a/c recharged no idea.
thx for the help guys.

maybe

it might be the water pump cuz the over heating didnt start right after i put on the intake, it was overheating before but not as much. But the ABS light was right after. i dont know my lude if fucked up. i need money and a mechanic.

Hey dood. I have a 93' and when I experienced all this over heating i had a little over 100k on it. 3 things i replaced was the water pump, thermostat, radiator cap and water pump. Your ABS light check the fluid level. If its ok you may have a faulty sensor. Worth the shot. Hope this helps. By the way man I'm from ponce' man! I miss home like no other!!

lol, get me the serial number instead of punking people.
op: have you pulled the code for the ABS?
not sure about your other problems. sounds like the short ram pissed off your car, or maybe its just a coincidence.
for some reason 4th gens problems pop up at the same time as eachother or right after fixing a problem. mine went from a busted flex pipe, dead Abs sensor, to the door locks acting weird... all around the same time. Honda set the car to self destruct at a set age/mileage. lol

First, check your coolant level. Then check your under hood relays/fuses.... Does it over heat at idle/sitting or on the highway? Your ABS light could be any number of things from worn out pads/rotors to electrical shorts, to bad wheel sensors etc etc... Either way, your car will still stop just fine w/o ABS, unless you're on slippery roads or happen to slam on the brakes hard.
If it started overheating AFTER you installed an aftermarket part, chances are you've pinched/unplugged/plugged into the wrong spot/or broke something.... give your engine bay a good look.

thx for all the responses. i havent taken it to the mechanic cuz i have no job and depend on my dad sadly, and he just got his mustang out from the mechanic a couple of days ago. hopefully i can find a job soon and do what i want with my car. MAKE IT HOT!
