Default Car won't start !

Here's the situation. I drive a 96 Accord Ex (automatic) and it won't start for some odd reason. The day before it died on me, it was running fine ! It started up NORMALLY as any other day. When I would turn the ignition, it would just CLICK and everything in the dash lit up. It also made a HISSING sound in the engine bay when I would try to turn it on. Iam thinking its the starter or alternator. What do you guys think ?

this happened to me in my 94... i had amateur wiring upon buying the car...so $85 dollars later, i had my whole car re-wired...then my alternator went out...so if your car is mildly modded, could be faulty wiring..but if not, or wiring was done correctly..yes, check your alternator..new ones have warranty

1) have you tried to jump-start? . 2)even if you did, check your alternator
