Default rev problem

i just install sohc vtec zc in my crx 1989., this motor is brother of d16z6 same pistons, rods, cranck, the only diff, i notice that this engine has no oil vtec pressure switch

i swaped to obd1 and use the stock ecu for that motor p70

the problem is i can not rev past 3500 rpm ., and cel is jumping but i can not check the cel code for some resons.

so my question is what can i check to solve that problem ?

x2. Check and make sure you have the right ecu for that engine and that you have all the necessary sensors hooked up. A knock sensor or especially an o2 sensor that's reading improperly or not reading at all can send your car to ****.

If you don't connect your O2 sensor it will make your car run in limp mode.

There is a thread somewhere that shows how to change it over. You will have to search for that though.
