Hmm, ok, I stand corrected... I remember researching this when I was doing my swap but I got a little mixed up.

There were OBD2b M/T Civic ECUs but no such thing as an OBD2b M/T Integra ECU.

So JDM Civics could be OBD2a or OBD2b.
All JDM Integras were OBD2a.

correct! the ctr came obd2a and b while the ITR was all obd2a. try to get an obd2a if you can, ive heard of some problems fitting the odd shaped obd2b ctr ecu in the stock location on US vehicles.

Actually I have the OBD IIb and have zero problems with it fitting in there...needed to know because i was going through my invoices for my engine swap and the shop charged me for the conversion harness but i in fact didnt need it...so i aksed them about it and over a year later they being inline four gave me a refund so they get a huge from me....

the confusion started when i was decinding if i was just going to go chipped OBD I in the begining.
