Default Aem V2 intake or Injen Cold Air?

I cant decide which intake to get, from what i heard the injen cold air has had hydrolocking problems and i heard that the v2 is rated higher in the rsx-s than the injen cold air. Can anyone give me some info on which one to get?

well...... if it rains a whole lot where you are, and there is potential for flooding, i would go with the V2.

The way I always answer this question is:

Is the 4hp gain from using the CAI over the V2 worth the risk of hydrolocking your engine?

it is not to me....this is why i have a V2. Hope that helps.

either way, you'll be stoked.

I would say go with a short ram if you are worried about the hydrolock issue or if you want, try the injen cai with the hydroshield.

I just installed the injen mega sri yesterday and its awesome. i love the sound of it

yeah, you could do the CAI bypass valve thing, but you will basically lose the hp with the bypass valve what gain from using the CAI over the V2.

i myself have the v2, this is my 2nd type s and 2nd v2, ive hydrolocked a motor before and its not fun at all, 5 hp is not worth it, hell even if u put a bypass valve on there u still lose maybe 2-3hp
