tire decision. 99 civic hatch.
i got an itr 5 lug swap going on the car in hopefully 2 weeks. im looking to get new tires for my new wheels also..
advan RG 16x7.5 +45 i wanted to run a 205/45/16 but im not sure how the 205 would stretch on the 7.5 wheels. i think if i run a 215 that might be a lil 2 wide. more then likely im going to have to roll the fenders. i would like to set the car about where jon duppong had his EK sitting. if i would have to i would run a 205/45/16 if that would be in my best intrest.

i know the 7.5 is a lil wider then most people run. mostly i hear 7 but i ran across the advans and didnt wanna pass up the deal.
was wondering what everyone recomended for this setup?

To reply to each of your concerns:
205/45-16 on 16x7.5 wheels - Most tires this size are approved for mounting on wheels 6.5-7.5 inches. So you can definitely mount them. Yes, they might look a bit stretched, but maybe not too bad; since you'll have the wheels, why not just try them? (Note - 215/45-16 is usually approved for 7.0-8.0 inch widths, so it might not look quite as stretched.)
Rubbing and the need to roll fenders - You should be able to use 205/45-16 or 215/45-16, and either size should work without rubbing and without having to roll the fenders, even with a moderate drop.
205 vs 215 - Your car can use 205/45-16 or 215/45-16. Either should fit without rubbing. Most tires come in one size or the other, not both. What really matters to performance is the tire (i.e. the make and model) rather than the treadwidth. I suggest you choose the tire you want, and then get whichever of the two sizes it comes in. For example, if you want the absolute best dry traction, and you don't care about poor wet traction or rapid treadwear, get the Falken Azenis RT-615 in 215/45-16. If you want great dry traction and you also care about great wet traction and/or decent treadlife, get the Goodyear F1 GS-D3 in 205/45-16. If you want decent dry traction and great wet traction and treadlife, and you also don't want to pay a lot for your tires, get the Kumho SPT in 205/45-16.

The Yokohama Parada Spec 2 is absolute crap. I don't know how Yokohama gets away with still selling such a piece of garbage. Especially since they also sell the ES100 for not much more money and the ES100 is so much better at everything.
If you want an even better tire at an even better price - better than the ES100, even better than the Kumho SPT - the Tire Rack has the Avon Tech M500 on closeout in 205/45-16 for $59/tire. It's an excellent tire and that's a screaming deal.
Don't get the Parada. Remember, friends don't let friends buy crappy tires.

The Kumho SPT, Yoko ES100, Goodyear GS D3, and the Falken RT 615 should still be out there.

Are you talking about the customer reviews? I wouldn't put too much faith in those, they are highly bias and unbased.

Agree with this statement! People tend to have high expectation, they think performance and they want a race tire!
