Help!!! Can't get started after tune-up was performed? Weird
I have a 1998 Honda Civic EX, with minor engine work done to it. I was performing a tune- up: Spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor, fuel filter, oil change, and air filter. We have spark to all 4 plugs coming from the cap and rotor, fuel is flowing, I check all my fuses and all my connections. No check engine light. I have tried everything including checking my timing belt for jump in time and used ethanol to try to start it. I need help asap, I need to get my car on the road sometime soon. Get at me if you have any solutions.
Thank you,
H. Fletcher

open the on the filter, let the friend put the IGNITION ON (not starting the motor, only to get the lamps on conrtol table ON)...the gas would have to pure over bolt!
if gas is not puring over the bolt, wait until it starts...then tighten the bolt!
try to start!
if the gas never starts to pure, that the PUMP is gone!

You haven't really told us ****, so how do you expect to be helped?
What is included in "minor engine work?" I know a few people who consider sleeved blocks/forged internals "minor engine work."
It's "not starting" - great. How is it not starting? Is it turning over? Is it just dead? I'm hoping you tried boosting it if it's silent, didn't you? You got a spark, peachy, do you got fuel at the rail too? Is it a manual? If so, did you try pop-starting the car?
A) Try to include "how" it's not starting.
B) If it's a manual try pop-starting the clutch (if you don't know what that means google.com can tell you)
C) Do you have fuel at the rail? What defines "fuel is flowing?" did you check the fuel pressure at the filter with the vacuum hose on the FPR unplugged? (fuel pressure for that car should be about 40-47psi)
D) Plugs? Are they black? White? Any color other than normal?
E) What type of plugs, wires, rotor, and cap did you use? (make / model)
I'm sorry if it appears that I'm being an ******* but you need to include more information to get the adequate help.
The most important parts:
A) Is it cranking or is it dead?
B) If it's a manual, did you try pop-starting it? If so, result?
PS: No, you did not try everything, if you tried everything you wouldn't be posting the question that you're posting.

dude i posted a fukcin picture lol, how much more help do u need... u and mister spelling bee over there are killin me on this one...
Get a voltage tester, and check all ur connections on ur ignition harness.... You said all your fuses were good but that doesnt mean a wire couldnt have fried "trust me on this one".. If its nothing basic and simple, like you said you've checked all the minor things, than chances are you're gonna have to do a little bit of actual work to try and find a solution...

Thanks for all the postings, I've moved down to Baltimore to start work, with my car still in PA. I'll be heading back up to PA this weekend to hopefully get it running. I'll let you all know how I do and if I need further help.

hehe.. anyways i vote for wrong order on the plug wires.. it'll look like the picture but the distribs on them are angled and not straight like the b-series.. number 1 will be at a 9 o'clock position..
