Default Boot question...

O.K. so, a while back I asked what boot to get, between Sidi Dohas (sneaker-like), or some Set-Up Visions (riding boots). Everyone pretty much said get the full boot. O.K. so my Visions are here and I have a question.

Should the calf portion be tight around my calf?

Because it ain't, and I can move around quite a bit in these. These look to be made for one hell of a fat bastard, but I do have some chicken legs...
There is literally a 2" gap from the top of the boot to my shin...

I really don't see how these are going to protect me? Should I return them?

Thanks.

Alex

Some boots have calf adjustment. Do they fit better with your jeans inside the boots?

they're loose so that you can tuck your suit into the top of the boots. when you're just wearing jeans, you can tuck the jeans in or not worry about it.

even with all that extra space, it'll work better than a riding shoe. as long as it fits on your feet right, i wouldn't worry about it too much.
