Wheel Horse Power
Yeah I believe that is to the crank. They always advertize that because its a bigger sale. Like the new SI, all their adds say "The new 197 HP Civic Si" Im willing to be that the car is not putting out more than 158-160 to the wheels. I simply dynoed my car today after a few mods, and they gave me the HP stats going to the wheels. I believe stock they put out about 160 to the wheels, but I am not sure.
depending your elavation it's hard to really determine your WHP unless dynoed.. everytime any company advertises a car they always go off of the flywheel. Can't really go off of someone elses whp as every car is different.

I would say 160-170 whp is a good guess for a stock motor ... last time I checked the stock motor made 142 tq at the crank so I would say torque values on a stock block should be somewhere around mid 120s-130 wtq. There is plenty of info out there on this if you just search around ...
Good looking: Here it is, for all those who are wondering bone stock is 157.8 whp. Here is the link for more info :

Your answer can't be a single number. It has to be a range to factor in different dyno's, differences in engine wear, etc.
I've seen 'stock' k20a2's putting out 180whp and some putting out 140whp.

I do not disagree with you. I am happy with this answer so far, because first it was done by people who know what they are doing, and simply because i am not going to dedicate a week to this. There are many factors to this answer. unpluging the battery on my car for 2 minutes gave me 4 more horses to the wheels. So if something as simple as that can give you more power, one can loose himself trying to find the right answer.
