Painting the front of the car HOW MUCH?

I just had my entire front end (jdm front) painted and the painter was going to charge $800. This was him doing it in his spare time, not on company which helped. For that price, all body parts were painted off the car including the underside of the hood and core support/bumper support.
We ended up working out a trade, but you get the idea.
