malfunction indicator lamp
i have a 97' honda civic and my friend unpluged and repluged a sensor i think above the air filter or around their and this malfunction indicator lamp light turned on and i dont know what to do can you help me or give me some tips!
If it's plugged back in now, and not actually damaged, the MIL should go out after several driving cycles.
You could have AutoZone read the error code (post the number here) & clear it. That would be useful if it turns out to be a different error unrelated to the sensor that you unplugged.
You can clear it yourself by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. Then you'll need the security code for your radio & reset the clock & radio stations, etc...
