stock injectors big enough
hey everyone im piecing together my turbo kit for my d16y8 and was wondering if my stock injectors would be big enough i only plan on running 7psi becuase its a stock bottum end, and im trying to keep it on a budget, i have a 16g turbo out of an eclipse got it for free from my bro and there is no axle play its awsome. thanks guys
Depends on the turbo but a FPR could probably get you the fuel you need.
It wouldn't hurt to get some dsm injectors though in an appropriate size for your setup.

dsm you would prob find 450's
but your best bet would be to buy some saturated 550's rom rc
they are the same price as the 440
and you will be good up to about 15 or so psi depending on your turbo size.
you will need a 255lph fuel pump

and then you will need a programable ecu, if you change to a bigger injector you need some way to turn down for for correct mixture at idle and low rpm, if budget ,stick with fmu and low boost level, 5-7 psi
base your decision off power numbers not psi. with stock injectors, no more than 190-200whp. 550cc's are good for ~300whp.
im doing a bidget build and im still on the stock bottum end so i can only run 7psi and im only shooting for 200 if its possible, im not trying to make huge numbers on this motor just trying to get a better understanding of turbos and get a better feel for the car so im planning on only like 200-220 or so.
