i took a test drive in my friends '02 RSX-S just to see how it would feel because i always thought about getting one or a new Si....all it had was i/h/e no reflash or kpro...i heard theyre supposed to be quite a bit quicker than my '94 teg gsr but to my suprise it felt kinda ehhh slow to me...it felt as if my gsr could easily keep up with it if not beat it...all i have is intake, clutch, and 8lbs flywheel...is something wrong here?? because my other friend who used to have an '06 rsx-s said hed easily put 5 car lengths on me

 

the think is your not use to the car and if it was your first time well number 1 reason maybe you couldnt drive it, dont take it wrong but everyone has a different way of driving.

 

you and your friend should run at the track and see who has the quicker time . does he have a short ram or cold air? shorty header or race header?

 

injen short ram intake, DC header(not sure what kind), and a tsudo 2.5"exhaust

 

well maybe because its a newer car and your tegg is older.

example. in my rsx 75mph is kinna slow. but then when im driving 75 in my crx it feels fast as hell.

 

From what I've personally experienced, DC5's feel very solid, in G3 tegs you really feel the speed. (Basically what Mr.Kantot said) Trust me, from driving both a GSR and now owning a RSX-S, the RSX-s will kill the gsr.

word, and a short ram intake doesnt do **** for power (in the rsx)

 

I/H/E on an RSX Type-S usually consist of 14.3-14.7. 15.0-15.1 stock and GSR's usually runs mid 15's stock.

 

my friend owns a GSR. I own an 02 RSX-S .. I/RH/E Cams, Ecu. etc. etc..

I was probably a good 1/2 second faster in the 1/4 w/ same mods prior to ECU and Cams.

The second I went to ITR cams and Hondata ECU car felt completely different. Much smoother steadier acceleration, more low end torque, eariler VTEC etc.

if you wanna play w/ a stock RSX-S try an 05+ rather than an 02-04.

 

When my car was stock I walked a gsr swapped eg and a b16a swapped eg on the interstate. pretty sad .. lol
