Default RHD Conversion w/o RHD Firewall

Hi,
Im a newbie here...so please no flaming.
Just have a simple question.
I have everything needed for a RHD swap for my 95 Integra
EXCEPT the clip.
Now my question is kinda two parts.

Can I (I meaning someone else thats good in welding...Old School Bodyguy) fabricate a firewall or modify the existing one to accommodate the RHD?

Or is it absolutely necessary to have a RHD firewall?

Thanks

Theoretically yes. Then again, in theory, I could be a millionaire in the next 20 minutes.

You don't want to do it without the RHD firewall. There's just too much pain involved, especially if you want to retain any consumer features like a heater or an air conditioner or power steering.

I'm saying that assuming you already have the RHD dash, dash mounts, interior and engine bay harnesses, ECU mounting bracket, door panels, door wiring harnesses, etc.

buy the clip... i did this already.. if you use abs or not pay attention to the brake lines and small things like this that might save you money before you buy the clip.

What are you people talking about? You could absolutely fabricate a firewall...it's done in hotrod construction all the time. You could even use sections from your existing firewall in order to make the process easier. Sure, it's not ideal given the fact you can easily obtain a RHD firewall, but the reactions on here make it seem like rocket science and it really isnt. If you have an "old" bodyman available it can be done easily.

We're talking about not just the firewall, but EVERYTHING that attaches to it, in the interior, the engine bay, etc. Yes, you can fab it, but not for less than the cost of a clip minus an engine. Especially since you'd need to fab about a bajillion brackets and braces by hand, not just the firewall itself.

Sure you can fabricate almost anything, but I'm under an impression that the OP isnt skilled enough to do that. No offence to the OP, just realistic.

I don't get the point of RHD conversions anyways. It's just a pain in the *** to make left hand turns, merge onto the highway, or go through drive-thrus.

If you reread the first post by the O.P., a specific question question was asked pertaining to the firewall, not the headlights, the rad support and all that other crap. Sure, he needs to source a crossmember, steering assembly, interior parts, all kinds of things...but that isn't what he asked.

In the end though, like I stated previously it makes more sense to buy the RHD clip. Plus it's more realistic that the project would one day be completed.

I agree with the other above, the O.P. certainly doesn't give the impression he is capable of doing this work.

I wasn't talking about anything forward of the firewall. Having pulled my dash a few times though, I was talking about the myriad pieces of metal that mount the outer dash cover, the dash frame, the steering column hoop, the center console, the dash sides, the computers, the HVAC core, the heating ducts, the airbag braces, and everything else. It's just a pain to re-fab the firewall with all of that in mind. It'd be a helluva lot harder than the average 20s-30s hotrod. Doable, sure, but hard, even compared to the hell and expense of drilling out the 1200 or so rivits to get the firewall out of the clip. It's a cost and labor prohibitive option IMO. You're free to differ.

I converted this guy EK Civic HB to RHD using existing parts. Took me a month because of the fabrication of parts. For wiring I just extend and rearrange. I don't use black wires or speaker wires like other people. I use color coding wires for future easy diagnostic.

Dang, if only you waited a month. You would have bumped a year old thread.
