Call the cops? Don't touch the car and find the mfer's who did it and bash their head in? The last line is easier said than done
Buy a gun and search http://www.tamparacing.com rough.
it had to be someone you kno otherwise noone would have known it was there, check everyone you kno, and get some friends to act like they need one of each product stolen and you will find what you need.

You are a moron...
You can't do anything about it except file a police report (which is pretty much a waste of time anyways) and be more careful with your car.
My car has been broken into 3 times... I've gotten wiser each time. By number 3, there was nothing in the car for them to take.

filed a police report...they stole my zapco amp out of my car and my garmin GPS out of my moms truck...over $1,800 home owners is going to cover the gps but not my amp...
Best thing to do is get an alarm, relocate the battery to the rear, then have the alarm tap off of the battery back there. They usually pop the hood, disable the alarm, then go to town. With a sensor on the doors, hood/hatch, and a shitload of 120db sirens all over the interior, there's little chance they will want to stick around to take much, let alone deface your property. FYI when you add a 2nd device of the same noise level, it increses db output by 5db (50% louder). Sirens are cheap as hell on ebay, so even 8 110db'ers at 10ft away will be come close to shattering the fool's ear drums.
I do recommend putting a time-delay on all but one of the sirens, so that you don't explode your own ear drumbs if you set it off by accident. It would also get the theif in closer before the main show...

So far my 99 civic has gotten stuff jacked off it but the mother suckers haven't been able to get in. They had the nerve to UNBOLT my muffler from the exaust system. I had disconnected my car alarm because i had broken the remote and the company that had installed it was....no more. So i got a new car alarm. But prior to the the trunk emblem and side skirts were also jacked......I have my nice new car alarm with a remote that alerts me when it's going off. Plus a nice new friend with a 15 round magazine.
I just tore my alarm out of my wrecked hatch and just havnt had time to put it in this one...the crackheads who did it checked every car door on the block and ransacked about 20 cars...if i thought it was high school kids I'd sit in my front lawn with a shotgun while they walked to the bus stop but now i dont know....they didnt take my quick release sparco wheel or my 7inch dvd headunit...they did try and jack my jlw6v2 but that sucker weighs about 60lbs in the box...
video servaliance is going up this week on the house, and if i could get myself on an EX with power locks dont think there would have been a problem.....

I don't leave anything laying out, expecially expensive looking things.
Screens in the dash (especially if they don't look stock), CD books, money, wallets, jewelry, etc just should not be left in visible places in the car.
It's just bait.
Leaving your wallet sitting on your dash is almost equivalent to leaving it sitting on the hood. All it takes is someone willing to bust a window.
