have a 95 civic coupe, want b16. How easy is it really
Hi i am new to honda-tech. i have heard several sides to the discussion on a b16 swap.
i have a good mechanical know how and the help of two friends with similar know how, i plan on just buying the hasport mounts and harness'. so how simple is it really from there and how long can i expect to spend time wise on this build. Or i live in the midwest anyone reccomend a reputable shop to do a swap.

there is a lot of great info on this site that can help you out...just use the search and youll find all that you need
If you are really committed to putting the b16 swap in, and you have a friend to give you a hand, it should take you 1-2 days total, if you know what your doing.
A b16 engine swap into a 95 coupe is not that difficult, like the guy above me said the only thing people have a problem with is the wiring.
If you do decide to go a b16 engine swap, i would reccomend buying from hmotorsonline.com. I just bought a motor from there and it is quality for being used. If you buy a b16 engine and 5 speed tranny with shipping it will run you about 1900$ or so, then you would spend a minimum of 300$ on parts for your swap. If you decide to get your swap done at a shop, they would charge you around 1500$ for labor, so youd be spending over $3,000, opposed to around $2,000. I mean if you have the money, and you really don't wanna do it yourself--then have a shop do it.
I would prefer a b16 engine swap, opposed to most engines. It is affordable and responds very well to bolt ons, as well as turbos.
Either way, I hope you have good luck with your swap
