could try cleaning the EGR valve and the EGR ports. Check the FAQ for instructions on how to do this.

When was the last time the timing belt was changed? If you have never replaced it and you don't have anything showing when it was last replaced it might be a good idea to change that, the timing balance belt, tensioners and water pump as those should be replaced every 90,000 miles.

yep, np

if you haven't done a timing belt before, check out my write-up in the FAQ. It's on a F22B1 but it'll give you a good idea of whats involved and if you feel you can handle the job or not.

I'm not sure. It's pretty quick and simple to clean the throttle body to make sure it's not sticking so you could do that just to make sure and see if it helps at all.
