I bought a 98 coupe with 57k miles about 9 months ago...since then the tranny was making noise when the clutch pedal is out and it goes away when the clutch is pushed in... i did some research and found that it could be the input shaft bearing.... since then i got a good deal on a tranny with 55k miles and did the swap with a new clutch, pressure plate etc.. the noise was very very quiet compared to the old tranny...thought everything was nice...about a 1500 miles after, the noise is now very loud in this transmission and does the same exact thing...any suggestions idk why its like this with such low milage...help please
Was there a question in there? If your transmission is making noise, open it up and fix it...or buy another used one...or even a new one. You may have more than one bearing that went bad, as was the case with an old Y7 tranny I had. The bearing at the opposite end of the input shaft went bad, as well as the ISB.
