RSX type-s fuel pump
I got a fuel pump that I got from my friend that thinks that it's a type s fuel pump. He also says that it should put out nearly as much as walbro 255lph pump. This is going into his car not mine (trying to get an upgrage pump for a civic), so he is not sure if it is and even if it is he is not sure if it's going to be any improvment over stock civic one. Park # on it is: AF195130-2280. Can somebody tell me if it is, because I searched everywhere including denso website.
dosent the k20 have small injectors? ie nothing that would require anything close to pumping out 255 lph? also, every 255 lph fuel pump ive heard has been loud as ****.
Well maybe it's not that big. the fuel pump was free, need something nearly free/cheap to get the car running good. No need for a huge fuel pump, something bigger then stock civic one. Anybody got one laying around to read the numbers off?
honestly it's running fine on 6psi with stock fuel pump and fmu. My buddy is broke so I'm trying to help him out and try to tune it on some 390s and slightly bigger pump
your stock 310's are fine to handle 6psi. If you add the 390's your fuel pump definately wont be able to keep up. Your car maybe fine now but you maybe leaning out. Have you dyno'd it or datalogged it to see if your leaning? Stock fuel pumps aren't designed to keep up with boost. I'd atleast get it tuned for a/f to make sure you're not leaning out. Even tho he's broke he really would need to look into getting a 255 if he wants to keep the motor. It will eventually catch up to him.

to be honest your best bet would go ahead and spend the money for a 255 walbro. it shouldn't be that much maybe 200 at the max.. but i'm pretty sure you can buy it cheaper. Do it right the first time or take the cheap way out... as my signature says.
i have an rsx parts car with the pump, I prefer oem parts, and I know the walbro is loud and a lot of people have problems below quarter tank of gas I understand, after searching. Would just like to know if the rsx pump will work and what its flow rate is.
yeah but OEM only gets you so far. Only reason people have issues with 1/4 tank of gas is because they prolly didn't extend the fuel hose on the pump to reach the bottom of the tank. But to answer your question about the rsx pump, i do not know.
It has been my experience that they perform flawlessly. Had a DW200 in my 2.1L Tribute and a DW300 in my 3.4L Grand Am. Quiet and never had any pressure or flow issues with them. The DW200 was maintaining 43.5psi and the DW300 was @ 58psi daily.
