Default 90 SiR Build-up =)

hey guys im pretty fresh to this forum and just thought id share my project with everyone and sorry for the low quality pictures, cell phone pics.....

Well i bought this civic about a year ago, looked like a good deal at first, 90 civic si for 2000, it seemed pretty mint so i bought it and since then have done a b16 swap, crx rear disc conversion, megan exaust, skunk2 coilsovers...
but anyways on to the project, i decided that since summer is here id fix all my rust, this little job soon turned big...

before:

this is day 1 of the stripping and searching for hidden rust:

Here i just sand blasted all the rust areas and prepped for bondo, i also rolled all the fenders for the new 17's that will be installed. Since this i have also picked up a OEM look CF hood.

When i removed the fenders and hatch i thought i would just sand blast and repair but rust one of the fenders and hatch were a little excessive and i decided to just replace them. Ill keep updating every couple days

What are you going to do on your QPs...I have almost the same exact rust pattern. What did you use on them so far? Rust converter?

so far it looks like my qp's have repairable rust and the holes arnt tooo large so i sand blasted it all and now im going to put a first coat of the bondo with strands of fiberglass in it to strengthen the areas with holes, sand it smooth and then put a coat of regular bondo which i can wet sand to a smooth finish..

Sounds good. I was going to do the same. I havent dugg into mine yet, but they appear to be the same as yours.

Good luck.

Yeah, keep them 15's or lower.
And I'm also going to fix all the rust and paint the Rex this summer.
So that way, the onyx black pearl siR front will finally be red.

Not sure how that is an SiR buildup but thats ok. It still looks like youre on the way to restoring a good car.
