spark plug wire problem
today i went to autozone and was buy new spark plug for my civic. i yanked out the spark plug wire the metal prong is connected to the top of the spark plug. i reconnected it and start up my car...and now..its running very rich. only reason i know cuz i got a air fuel gauge. it literly runs rich all the time. i went around the block to see if i had any power loss. luckily i didnt. it still runs normal. i called a friend and i asked him what his opionon on it. is there anyway to remove that metal prong from the spark plug..without damaging anything? i wont get paid till friday..you think i can run it like this until friday. i know i will burn a crapload of gas. its a eg wit a 94 ex motor juss in case yall wondering. thanx
dont worry about it you will be fine till you get paid i ran my car like that for months no prob aslong as the wire is connected to the prong that is stuck to the plug it is still getting the need spark ..so dont worry bout it..and if you want to remove it get a pair or needle nose pliers and pull it off
wow...that really takes a load off my chest. i got really scared driving it home from autozone. well most likely i gonna upgrade plugs and wires. thanks
