vtec & nonvtec cams interchangeable?
V-TEC cams our made to with stand the pounding of V-TEC power that it puts on the cams and valve train components and Non-V-TEC cams are not made to withstand the pounding.

WTF
No the cams aren't compatible, to run vtec you need to swap in a vtec head and wire up vtec.
Plenty of threads on DIY mini-me's.

Don't ever speak again. Not on this forum.
The cams are constructed out of the exact same material, as are the valvetrain components.
The difference is purely mechanical:
An oil journey from the pressure switch that slides a pin into place, allowing one lobe to spin freely, and another to lock into place.
******* idiot.
