Its cool. I do an extra step. I took compress air or even a blower and blow all the water out of the tiny holes

It Sure Does; unless you drive around with your hood up LOL

first off...you shouldnt spray cold water on your motor while its running especially if its up to running temps..that could easily crack the block if its hot enough not to mention do other damage...when I do mine..I let it get fairly cool...whatever engine degreaser brand you buy just read the bottle...some say you dont have to cover anything and some say you do..some say to use when the engine is warm and some say to use and a cool engine...just depends..I bought the black magic or w/e engine degreaser + shine...you use it on a warm engine and dont have to cover anything up..let it set for 20 minutes and rinse with a steady stream of water..did an awesome job...also...how would your engine get wet when it rains? what do you think a hood is for? not to mention splash guards?

I have power washed my motor countless times and gotten basically all components wet with out problems. Just dont blast directly onto the dist. or fusebox.
