Default Good R12 A/C shop needed in Socal

I am looking for an A/C shop that will service R12 A/C for my 93 Civic. Everywhere I tried saying that I needed to convert to R134a before they can service it which I don't want (Honda Dealers, Good Year... etc.). Please recommand one in the San Grabiel Valley Area (626). Thanks

Why don't you just get it converted? Not too many places do R12 anymore.

Take it to TJ, you may get lucky there... If not, just suck it up and covert and you'll be doing the o-zone a favor...

As fas as I know it's been illegal since the mid late 90's... Cars manufactured in 1994+ started using R134a...

not sure what dealerships your going to but i go to pasadena honda and they still have r12 freon. and still service r12 systems. not that fake freeze12 stuff either. i would talk to Lars as you pull up... there is a lot of new guys there that dont know what their doing, and may tell you they dont service r12 systems.

and its not illegal to use, sell or keep in storage if you have a licensed mechanic with a separate epa certification.

no but when i bought my '92 si hatch with r12 i went to Lars at pasadena and he said they could recharge it anytime, and i asked how much r12 they had and they had enough not to worry about not being able to service them.

i never had a leak but i just inquired incase i needed to get it fixed...

the only person i deal with is Lars. he's been there the longest, nice guy and when you say you need the car at a certain time its actually done prior to that time...they open at 7am and also have a nighttime drop off aswell (drop your car off at night its done in the morning)
