Default thinking of changing tires

im thinking of buying a tire changer, a static balancer and doing this out of my garage...

now ive done car tires for years but used real machines for this...anyone actually do their own tire changing/balancing? any tips because ive never done it on a motorcycle but it seems pretty easy to do...

any products you recomend?

what do shops normally charge customers who bring in just the wheel?

all i would need are sticky weights, an air compressor to seal the bead and some lube for the bead...

i wouldnt trust that tire machine and i would spend that much on that balancer. just buy those tire bars and break them down by hand. and buy one of those axel bars, bearings and use your rear stand. theres a how to video using these, ill try and find it

This varies a LOT. I've seen anywhere from $30/wheel to $10/wheel. These prices are for loose mounts (aka: you bring your own wheels in). Ride-in prices are typically $20-40 higher.

Most shops will mount your tires for free if they are purchased through them.

For $20 for both wheels, I'll stick to my local mechanic than dealing with tire changes. Besides, once your friends find out what you can do, they'll be hitting you up non-stop to change their tires.

Ask around, especially the other riders in your area. If a shop won't change my tires, I take my business elsewhere.

That's how it's done, the real issue is that only address' LOW SPEED imbalance... there is also HIGH SPEED imbalance, and that is where my money goes to
