Default Wheels on a black prelude .... ('92)

I sit for hours at work sometimes looking through tons of wheels/tire set ups...and I just dont know what the hell to do.

Most of you will think i'm an idiot but, with my car being black, i can't invision what wheels are going to look good or not...

I want 17" wheels...and kinda like the way enkei's look, just not sure to go black...silver...

I dont know what tire size to go with because my car came with the wrong size tires.

I dont even know if my prelude is a 92 S...or a 92 SI... will this make a difference with wheel/tire size? (car didnt have a spoiler...original motor i dont even know because the girl i bought it from blew it up with NOS...)

Anyway...if anyone is bored as hell, and wants to give me suggestions on what some damn good 17" + tire set up to buy....please go ahead. I want something that looks clean...non-ricey...just nice and smooth.

appreciate it, and feel free to flame me, i'm ready for it.

(((Any suggestions that look amazing, will be purchased, pics uploaded, and credit given for the good suggestion!)))

The bolt pattern is 4x114.3

Your tire size is dependent upon the rim.

And it shouldn't matter whether or not it's an S or Si.

Check out Rota C-10's, I think they look pretty nice. My buddy has a flat black hatch with some Red C-10's on it, I thought it'd look ugly at first, but boy does the red stand out, in a good way.

I need to take some new pictures with my H&R springs, but my cardomain has pictures of my ADR Phantoms in silver. And to tell if your car is an S or SI, check your VIN. It'll be JHMBxx. If it's A8 it's an S. If it's B2 than it's an SI

If you buy some wheels just for looks you're probably going to feel dissapointed when you realize that there are many wheels out there that actually offer a performance benefit. Lighter is the way to go.

Ugly/fast car > pretty/slow car

You should choose rims that you like, other people shouldn't make decisions for you.

Check out the old prelude pictures thread, and find the look you want.

gun metal looks really nice against a black car.. i put gun metal rims on my black civic and was scared it'd look tacky, but it looked a lot better than i expected.

i work at a tire store and we just got in these konig hot swap wheels. they are a 5 bar wheel and have 5 inserts on all of the bars so that you can change them with a hex key. you can get them in carbon fiber black silver red or take them to a body shop and get them painted to match your car. also you can get them in black ,silver or machined i think. but any way i got 17 inch mr7's cause im a douche got em for 300$. the 205/40/17 tire rides decent they are kumho ectsa supra which are also inexpensive and handle pretty good if you ant more of the wheel well filled just get a little bit bigger of a tire. and i think the stock prelude tire size is 185/60/14 not 1005 though

heres the wheels i was talking about though im getting a set for sure

Hell yeah! Mine's pretty ugly and was faster than WRXs and STIs this last sunday! Woot hella NA nonVTEC etc.

I vote Slipstreams. Cheap, plentiful, light and you can wedge a 225/50/16 under the 4th gen fender with the 40 offset.
