Hey how much of you have been pulled over by cops who know what turbo is and what did they do to you. (I really want a drag kit so badd but greddy is Carb legal im trying to get at least 375 out of my B16A2 im planning to rebuild the engine.)but I dont want to take out my turbo or engine because a cop tells me.(No offense against cops I want to be one or a CHP).
Please Help

 

there are cops out there who actually know what to look for. even if Greddy is "carb legal" the police wont care and still ticket you or send you to the ref. at least you got documentation to help you out at the ref. its all up to you what route you decide to go. just make sure youre satisfied with what you get. the DRAG has more power potential. i think LA cops are a lot easier on imports than they are up here.

 

LA seems much more scary with all their check points and their mobile dyno to see if your car is legal

 

So has anyone got caught with a Drag Kit in cali.

i have never ever seen a mobile dyno check point in my 23 yrs in socal.

well maybe my friends in LA are speaking from their ***.. they said they close off part of the road and dyno your car at the check points.

 

My friend just got pulled over by a mobile smog station. He was all legit so notihng happened. As long as you have a cat you're not going to get a fine up the ***.

 

really? well, i've heard/read similar stories; just never seen one myself, and i'm not complaining. i think you SD guys have it worse than LA.

Santa Clara County Sherrifs didn't cite me cos, "We'd be here all night." They still gave me a speeding ticket, though.
