solid cel usually means bad ecu. try to add some more grounds and see if that helps. A lot of people seem to have this problem after doing wire tucks...

ok after re-reading it
It may be that one of the wires from the engine harness may be plugged or touching a wire within the harness itself. Which may have led to your shorting out your dash harness.
