Default Need to make loudest exhaust.

Me and couple of buddy's of mine are looking at purchasing a civic CX hatchback. We think it's a 93 model. What we're looking to do with it is make it as loud as possible because in my town every summer we have a car parade then after the big diesel trucks have some sort of contest to see who's is louder lol. So we want to see if we can beat them with a stock d15 civic. Any suggestion you guys have? By the way these trucks are modified and one of them is actually pushing over 1000hp. One option I was thinking of is just making a custom straightpipe and putting a fart can on the end.

wow...this is a first for HT...i mean people have asked for loud exhaust systems before but not to out roar a truck haha. well loudest you can go with a exhaust system is probably buddy club/apexi n1/ hks. You would have to pick certain models though. I would run no cat just a straight pipe and also get cheap *** headers with a really cheap short ram intake. Usually the cheaper the product the louder it is....also you can do a custom job and run 2 exhaust like the s2k haha....i wouldn't waste money on doing this project but its your money.

the buddy club spec 2 is probably one of the loudest exhausts. But if your going custom dont even put a muffler on it. Just do a straight pipe with no resonator, so cat, no muffler. Maybe just turn down the tip at the end or something.

Is exhaust required? If not just do open header. If it is required, get a cheapo used header and go to the muffler shop and have them weld a pipe from the header back without any bends. No cat, no muffler, no resonator.

I guess we could make a side exit exhaust because it's only going to be for the parade so I dont think it will need a cat. I see that there's alot of knockoff N1 style mufflers on ebay, should we pick one of those up?

While changing over exhaust on my 00 EX I decided I needed a soda in town...ran headers only....extremely loud, but the engine ran nicely!!

are you effing kidding me? open header? power? loud?

Im sure all the crowd has to do is go to bed at night, and listen to the sound of the ricers in the distance. Im sure alot of people at that parade will be itching to do a walk by on that hatch. I would, give my tek9 some exersize. Im sure nobody would care either.

I think we're just going to straight pipe it with 2.5" flex tubing (we got it for free). We'll try it like that and then which a N1 style muffler and see which one is louder, thanks for the help everyone

Hard to be louder than an open header. I had to drive to the store for a clamp right in the middle of an exhaust install and ran open header. It was embarrassingly loud. Any exhaust will quiet it down even a little bit. Open header would be the loudest if you want loud.

The Mugen world sport 18 is loud, along with the greddy thundermuff, bundle that with an energy suspension turbocharger you will be producing upwards of 200db +/- 100db so could project the rice'ed fart buzz all the way up to the space station.

It will be the loudest Master Hung Loe will ever hear, he will love you long time.

Thanks for adding to the stereotype

Any exhaust you purchase will only muffler it from what it could be. Your best bet would be to Run a straight 3" or bigger piping from the header, straight back, no rez, no cat, no ends, just striaght.

I would go with an RX-7 FC3S non-turubo. Remove the built in silincer on the exhaust port and add N1 exhuast.

a muffler muffles the sound. Why do u want an n1... just use pipe, no mufflers.

sorry we're not trying to portray that civics are ricers but it was the only cheap car around we could find. It's going to cost us $200 and we're 3 guys chipping into it.

grab a 240sx, those cx hatchbacks are ugly enough IMO, and tossing a loud *** exhaust just makes it look like 87% of all the ricers out there.

Be different, I have never seen a cx hatch without an N1 style exhaust, or maybe a autozone fart can. Its like taking a fat wisconsin hooker, and dressing her up in fishnets.

Need no stinking header. Just run it header-less.

It will be loud as expletive I promise.

oh, and run no filter on your intake. Or stretch some dryer sheets over it.

why not have a megaphone attached to your American Product Company filled eggroll of a car, and play the sound of bee's, realy really loud? This will be the same effect.

take that 200 bucks and buy a hooker
