Default OT: Skunk2 Cam Gears and Short Shifter

Just looking at buying them. What do you guys think. Also do you think that an ECU upgrade would be a good idea? I know nothing really about them, but was thinking about the idea. Not planning on the supercharger or anything like that, so would an ECU upgrade be alright?

I have the skunk2 cam gears and short shifter and I loooooove it
as for the ecu, just buy a vafc and go tune the car...keep the stock ecu you'll be fine

I've heard rumors before that an OBDI with a replacement ECU can help the "troubles" with trying to get that extra HP out the stock R OBDII (because it can compensate your fuel mixture somehow with upgrades such as an exhaust). Does this really have any merit? (Sorry for the dumb post, but this is where I get a little clouded with right vs wrong information).

you're talking about a hondata or similar. they work very well, but require experienced tuning, lots of dyno time, and are very expensive. I'd stick with the VAFC until i was doing a built motor, ie cams, compression, etc.
