Default already searched...oil change question

I have a 1.5 L and need to do an oil change, I've been meaning to AllData it at school but haven't had the chance, I bought 5 quarts partially cause it burns a little bit of oil so I can have some leftover to have. How much oil should I put it in? Thanks in advance.

I've always used roughly 4.5.

At the very least 4.

When ever your dipstick reads full, you are fine. Start with 3.5. Run it for a second, check the stick.

Ya i just pulled out the manual and you guys are correct. No wonder i've never had any issues with burning too much oil haha. I guess that its better to have too much then too little.

The helms manual stated:
After complete rebuild ~ 4 - 4.2
Oil change w/ filter ~ 3.5 - 3.7
Oil change no filter ~ 3.2 - 3.4

If those numbers aren't dead on, they are close.

That's what I figured because that's what my Helms says
