Changing vtec solenoilds need you help!!

That's not going to do anything.
There is no "pressure" in the oil system when the oil pump is not pumping. Not to mention you have a vent hole in your valve cover.
To the OP: When you remove the VTEC solenoid, it will only dribble out of the block. A single rag should take care of your problem. You're not going to lose a quart or anything, not even a cup. I'd be surprised if you lost more than an ounce.

I replaced my gaskets/filter on my solenoid recently and when i took it off only about a handful came out. A shop rag and you will be good to go.

Duh. I wasn't serious. I was just trying to make the kid feel better. Notice the quotation marks? I was being facetious.
