Im thinking about getting a new deck, but since the stock deck is kind of built into the dash, i thought it might look shitty. so...
can you guys post up pics of your aftermarket decks? i have an '02...

 

Just get an after market DIN.

It is the plastic piece that surrounds the head unit, complete with lower storage pocket.

 

Do i just find these wherever i buy my deck??

 

Yea. I picked mine up for like... $30CAD i think. Everything stock, like the metal security bracket bolted right up. Perfect time to paint your trim while that is out too.

 

here's what the piece looks like:



works with any headunit. it's a "Metra 99-7899"

if your car is a special edition, then it wont fit at all.

 

mines a SE and it fits fine

My friend has an SE and it looks like it will fit fine as well.

I put a double DIN DVD Player in mine....

 

Thanks. Its almost colour matched to the outside. The vent trim by the windows are done as well. It would be colour matched but i went with a 'hammered' finish paint. I think it ties the inside and outside of the car together.

Its very easy so if youve got your stock head unit out, you should paint the trim.
