Hey I'm trying to find a Type-R spoiler for my 4th gen (my factory one has seen it's days) but the only Type-R spoilers I find for sale all say they are for 97-01, yet I still see pictures of peoples 4th gens with Type-R's on them. Does the one for the 5th gen also fit the 4th gen? Thanks.

I know there is no Type- R Prelude, it's just a style of spoiler that I'm looking for. I didn't know what else to call it but if you look up on google a Type-R spoiler you will eventually find pics of them on Preludes and to me, it looks pretty cool. But then again it could be a different type of spoiler that I'm seeing. It almost looks like a Supra spoiler, but whenever I find it for sale it says it for 5th gens, but I find pictures of them on 4th gens.

Well I was thinking about just going wingless, but the I would have holes on either side of my trunk, what could I use to fill those holes other than get a new trunk?

look just go to a body an auto parts dealer, and ask them...HEY I NEED BONDO BODY FILLER..and the guy behind the counter will magically produce a jar of it for you. its easy to do. Buy some spray touch up paint from any napa and you will be fine. for a while anyway.

It all makes sense now......
Why not just get a factory spoiler or have your stock factory spoiler fixed? Stock or nothing.....thats my take. Although a Wingless 4th gen with no lip kit looks like a Prelude "S" no matter how hard you try to prevent it. When I see a wingless Prelude without lip kit I see the 50yo woman behind the wheel and missing hubcaps.

I'm still kind of undecided on what I'm gonna do. I don't think I can fix my factory one because someone stole the brake light out of it a tore the **** out of the spoiler when they took it out which is dumb because it isn't that hard to take out in the first place. I will probably just end up getting another factory one or something.

You should be able to dig up an OEM cheap. People getting different ones and getting rid of them and such. Just be sure you get the right one. The VTEC spoilers are lightless.

Eh, even TypeR's shouldn't sport em'!
Would it qualify as a Prelude TypeR if it had a EuroR engine?! j/k
