I have a 1998 Accord V6 sedan that has 115,000 miles. For quite sometime now I've had a clunking noise coming from what sounds like the front suspension. I've had 3 mechanics look at it including Honda and no one can find anything wrong. It makes the noise when I go over slight bumps or when I steer right or left out of my driveway. the last thing I had changed was the front sway bar linkage. That did nothing. Any ideas? Could it be struts? Thanks if anyone has any ideas.

 

dude i am having the same problem ..i have a 2000 accord hybrid with that same problem in my hatch but it was the strut mount .... i am thinking it is a ball joint this time but evrything looks good.........to bad a scan tool could not tell you whats up ...good luck to you homie

 

I have that same problem with my 97 sounds like the ball joint but when i checked it all it looked fine.
