imma noob to cars but my maitenance req'd light just came on and it stayed on so what should i do? do i needa change my oil? get new spark plugs? radiator flush? tire rotation? or what? how can i take care of this?

 

That goes off every 7500 miles to remind you of scheduled maintenance like oil changes. What else is due? Depends on your mileage, but depends more on when each maintenance item was done last. Check the maintenance schedule in the owner's manual.

Probably something like this...
oil change & tire rotation every time
radiator flush every 2 years
fresh brake fluid every 2 years
air filter every 30k miles
tranny fluid every 30k miles (automatic)
timing belt every 90k
etc...

 

its just a light reminding you to take the car in for maintenance.

To turn that light off hole the mileage reset button in the guages while the car is off. Then turn the key to the 'on' position and it should blink and go away after a few seconds.
