bah didnt suprise me 4 wheels always has superior traction, of course the bmw driver had no problem pushing his car, but when ur on a bike with only two wheels it a differnt story.

yeah, more contact = more grip. that wasn't the reason i posted it though. i just thought it was a cool video, looks like they're moving at a decent pace.

well, if you notice on the pavement most of the curves are marked 40 which I presume is a speed recommendation of 40Km/h... if you can read his speedo (sometimes it's hard with the glare) he's generally doing at least 110 when he stops braking and gets back on the gas... at the lowest speed he gets down to, that's roughly 68-69 mph. so yeah they're cruisin through there pretty good

3 cases of "you're wrong":
A) In the first video another motorcycle pases the BMW car and continues to pull away. Just because the bike with a camera was slower doesn't mean bikes are slower than cars.
B) The second video posted shows a bike beating a lambo. Who has lambos anyway?
C) I'm sure most of you read the article a while back that compared a 600 bike, a liter bike, a skyline and a VERY heavily modified skyline. Bikes won. I think even the 600 beat the heavily modified skyline if I remember correctly - if not it was EXTREMELY close.
Point being - an M3 is going to beat my integra, but does that mean all RWD cars are faster than all FWD cars? No. There's going to be exceptions to every case - but any modern sport bike (lets say 2000 and newer) is going to beat the majority of modern day cars - given the same level of rider/driver skill. Super exotics? They might win, but they also cost 10 x as much. That's like pitting my 600 F4i vs a Goldwing in a race. It just doesn't make sense to even compare the two.
You could toss a proffesional rider on a brand new liter sport bike for $10,000 (if not cheaper.) What do you think the cheapest brand new car is you could buy that would beat that bike? Maybe $50,000 for a c6 vette? If that?
My thoughts on the subject anyway.

Thats the one.
A stock 600cc sport bike beats a c6 vette by 10 seconds.
The same stock 600cc sport bike beats a 600 WHP all wheel drive R34 skyline thats moded to the hilt by 2 seconds.

thats an interesting article. I was under the impression that cars>bikes in most cases from the videos I watched.
plus F1 > Moto GP in lap times. I know F1 car has 800 hp vs 800cc and 250 hp on a bike on a bike, but both series use prototypes where money isn't an issue and they push the limits. so imo thats a fair comparison.

On roads the rolls are reversed for the most part, it is less about ultimate grip and more about the road width. A car has ONE lane an one lane only, if he is a good driver he's keeping it in his lane and that means follow the engineers layout, on a bike you have the use of the entire lane width(2.5-3 bikes wide) and can straighten out your corners... all things being equal it comes down to ability and how far out on the line you want to hang your ***.

Here's the biggest difference between an F1 car and a MotoGP bike... downforce.
You do know that an F1 car creates so much downforce that it can practically be driven upside down right? How is this possible on a motorcycle.. even if it is a prototype, money's no limit MotoGP bike?
That's besides the fact that an F1 car has superior tire contact patches versus any bike.
With all that to the F1's advantage, I'm surprised its not that much quicker around a race track than a measly motorcycle.
When you're comparing F1 vehicles to MotoGP bikes, you're comparing apples to oranges.
