Aren't S.O.S. pads ABRASIVE?!
Why would you wanna scratch up your wheels??
I usually just spray them down with wheel cleaner and let them sit for a minute, then spray again and buff with a wet/damp cloth. Rinse thoroughly and repeat.

use dish soap and baking soda. i clean my hands with it and its super strong. just sprinkle some bs on it, and then make a soapy solution in a spritzer bottle and wet the wheels up and clean with a tooth brush.

yeah but if you're cleaning wheels for painting them, peanut butter is awful because it leaves being an oily residue which will cause fisheyes. Thats why I suggested dishsoap, and if it needs extra cleaning dishsoap+baking soda. It cuts the grease

Was that necessary?
If anyone has ever used a citrus based wheel cleanser, be careful, because that can actually degrade the clear coat on wheels. Teflon-based is a much better wheel cleanser.
