Default Stewarts CRX build (pics) 56k Mabye

Well, this is how it goes, I bought a CRX from a guy and he told me it was a B18 and then it came with a Rolling Chassis. Now this is early in my Engine days were I didnt know all that much. A year later it still sits in my yard waiting for that Engine to be put in. I gained the motivation and in about 4 hours I put the tranny on and put the engine int he car all wired and ready to go. The next day I went out and fired it up for about 10 seconds just to see if it was runnable. It was even with all the crud ont he plugs and whatnot. Well it turns out after some extensive research its a B16A. Took me a bit to figure out the wiring but I got it all done and she ran and I was olmost shocked with about 6 hours of work I put the engine in without a cherry picker. Its dirty I know but hey, its my first honda project. I am 17 btw and all I have under my belt is a Turbo Cavalier all done by me, a Turbo RX-7 all by me and now this. I plan to turbo this or get a B18 lower end and stick it in there so I can get some real numbers outa it.

I need some help though, I dont have any axels its just a tranny in there. Do I need

Axel/Halfshaft/Axel or do hondas just have 2 axels? or what. I know I need them from a 90-93 teg right? How much do you think it would be?

One more thing, I have a PYR PR4 "Racing" ECU It says B18A on it. Is this a LS ECU or a Vtec cuz I think it might be LS :-/

On with the pictures. Thanks guys the build will be kept updated.

I was just reading something and someone asked if they needed the oil pressure sensor for there Vtec to work then they said that there ECU doesnt control Vtec so question, with a PR4 could I potentially still have a working Vtec system?

No. You don't need the oil pressure sensor to be hooked up. Mine isn't. Then, my ECU has been chipped. I think if you chip the PR4, you can also control VTEC

Yes you could still make it "work" but not the most efficient way.....

Get the correct computer.

you should really look for a cheap used PR3/PW0

they can be had for around 75ish depending where you look......

a PR4 CAN be made into a vtec ecu... but that says 90-91 so its an obd0 ecu so its NO vtec.

As for the axles, you need a halfshaft and axle on the drivers side and just and axel on the passenger side. And yes 90-93, you need to remove the retaining rings on the backside of the hubs, you'll see a little lip back there with the axle out and you just pop it out, and slide in the DA axles.
