the bolts that guy is working with. do they come out? i had to mess with my exhaust today. while i was at it, i decided to replace the nuts with the ones that came with the exhaust. well...... they were piece of *****, and im sure when i goto take them off, the bolts will be stripped. i want to fix it now while im in the mood.

The bolts look like they come out, and this diagram i saw ealier says they do, but when i was down there the first time i put the exhaust on, they didn't want to come out. and was hoping you guys could just tell me befor i go bangin on **** that possibly doesn't even come out.....

sorry for the dumb question, but it would sure save me awhole lot of time......

 

Not sure how it is on civics, or any sport compacts, but when I've done exhaust on muscle cars, the original/old exhaust bolts on the flanges usually came off with some elbow grease. If not the bolts just snapped, and then a blowtorch came into play along with a prybar and hammer. After that came the sawzall or pnuematic chisel.

But on a new car I'd imagine they should come out.
