I'd probably recommend either a supercharger or engine swap. Supercharger only because theres probably gonna be a little less maintenance work than a turbo. That's if she wants more power.
put in a b18a its not to bad *** of a motor but you can allways add bolt ons when shes ready...plus she will be able to keep up with the boys...

Why bother? Swap a lower mileage SOHC ZC in there from HMO. I loved mine very much and regret ever pulling it out for a B series.

how aobut a simple head swap?
gives the extra power (and vtec) and its cheap.
hows the tranny holding though? does it still got its sweet kick or is it lacking that one?
my gf loves my crx's. i jsut got a 1990 si with only 129k on it! it was well kept and it hauls some ***. the trany kicks so well it wheel hops into 2nd and 3rd. i wont let her drive it tohugh cause i know its too much for her. my hf was hard enough for her

Run a search for "mini-me" and you will find all the info. that you need. Searching the FAQ is a great place to start.
But no, just slapping on the head doesn't make it vtec. It will take some wiring as well.

If your planning on keeping your motor, or just your bottom end for a mini-me at least do a compression check first to see why its not running so good. Would be a waste to throw the head on there and have bad compression or something along those lines.
