Default gsr manifold

got a small problem fellas. i installed a gsr motor in my crx recently and bolted everything up except the rear mount and mount bracket. i figured i can connect that later after everything has been hooked up. it appears i was wrong, there is not enough room between the rear cross member and the motor to manouver the t bracket into place from the bottom so my final option seems to be to remove the mani and go from the top. how difficult is it to remove the mani and does anybody have a write up i can follow ? ps i have searched but found nothing useful and this haynes i have sucks *****

Lol even with the intake mani out it's gonna be a bitch replacing it, trust me I had to. And it was almost nearly impossible, I think I had to unbolt hte motor and use a jack to maneuver it. The intak emanifold just unbolts from the head, disconnect all the lines to it, that's it, remove fuel pressure also. Simple but good luck getting that on lol.

Yeah that is kinda always a PITA, I usually bolt the two side mounts to the engine and tranny, mount the rear mount to the sub frame, then I’ll lower the engine and transmission into the bay tilted with the tranny down. I’ll lower it past the mount and then tilt it back toward the driver-side mount somewhere in there I will crawl under the car and jimmy the T-mount into the back. I’ll bolt the transmission and engine mounts in but not torqued down and have a buddy wiggle the engine back and forth to get the rear mount bolts in.

About as long as it takes for you to undo the steering rack, tie rods, anti-roll bar, and a bunch of other stuff before you drop the crossmember. Just lift the motor out a bit and hook the rear brace on the transmission before ya lower it in again.
