EMISSIONS need help with emissions test
hey i have a problem getting my car past emissions here in ireland can u give me sum advice th car is jdm eg6 with a standard B16a.i put it in to get tested the car had a cat convertor in it but the thermosensor in the cat wasnt pluged in this is how it did.co seems crazy high
low idle(750) CO1.70% above 0.5%fail
lambda0.919 between0.97and1.03
high idle(3050)CO2.89% above 0.3%fail
any help would be great engine is unmodified o2 sensor in manifold was plugged in thermosensor in cat was not

That is an unusual test. But CO is caused by poor combustion.
Can be anything that has to do with timing,
and fuel. Like a plugged injector or high fuel pressure, or even old gasoline can do it.
Check the O2 sensor also because it has to do with fuel ratio's
I have to ask...Thermosensor??? in the cat? Can't help you on this part because I have never heard of such a thing.

If it's one short quick flash, they yes, O2 sensor.
I'm still unsure of what this thermosensor is...or does. Can you explain more? Is it actually a sensor...or an air pump of some sort?
