How to test PCV Valve?

Default How to test PCV Valve?

Anyone? I don't want to swap it out if not necessary.

Mine is on a 1992 Accord EX-R

To test your PCV valve, you just un-plug it from your valve cover and shake it! If you hear a little rattle, then its fine. If you don't hear any rattle, then its time to buy a new PCV valve. I got this info from my 1990-1993 Honda Accord Haynes manual. But this method applies to all cars. Aight hope that helps, later.

Ditto to chingerboi's reply. Also if it's a little sticky or it rattles a little, you can take it off and clean it with a Carb cleaner. Just spray into the PCV. Replacing it is a good idea too.
