Default ..... best way to access knock sensor in EF engine bay? bottom or top

gsr in EF... which is best way to access & take out knock sensor?
I know it's tight space & getting a socket up there is going to be tough...

any experiance would be greatly appericated.

From the bottom is easier.

which is best tool to use, socket or wrench?
isn't it hard to access because of all the vacume/collant lines in the way?


is there a trick to getting it off fast.

It is real hard to get it from a wrench. I am not sure of the size but it might be a 27mm. If you reach from underneath there whouldnt be any vacuum lines or coolant lines in the way.

It is an odd size, I want to say like 23mm though, cant remember. You may have all the IAB stuff in the way though. Your easiest bet is to get a deep socket and a wobbly.
