anyone know what size socket fits the head of an obd2 knock sensor? wanna get this thing out without taking off the water pipe and all that to get at it with a wrench so I need to know which socket to go buy cause I don't need a whole set.

i think it may be a 24mm, u would need a deep socket though to get over the plug

do you have to empty any fluids to remove the sensor? particularly the coolant.

did you not have the sockets to use so yuou just went out and bought one or did you just not feel like going out side and seeing which one actually fit ?

haha no i'm that much of a lazy ***.

i didn't have any deep wells past 20, and i figured it looked to be about a 22 or 24, so i wanted to make sure before i bought one

Also a 1-1/8" socket or wrench will work, won't it? Isn't the nut size the same as a typical o2 sensor?
