Ok, I am swapping in an h22A4 into my 92 prelude si. I pulled my h23 out of the chassis and I am all ready to drop the a4 in but the problem is I dont know which plug on my h23 wiring harness goes to the knock sensor.

On the obd 2 engine(the h22a4) the plug is square and has only one wire going to it, however I cannot find any wire on my wiring harness that has only one wire going to the plug. I hope your understanding this.

I have to rewire the knock sensor plug because they are different shapes so does the h23 have two wires for the knock sensor? Or one like the h22a4?

Here are some pics to show you my wiring harness so maybe you can tell me which one is my knock sensor, and a pic of the knock sensor and plug from the a4

its a green plug and it has only one wire.

why not just swap knock sensors though?

 

Just food for thought, an 92 thats an obd1 comp. An obd1 comp doesn't use an knock sensor does it?

 

P13 uses a Knocksensor.

If you use a P28 and get the H22 feulmaps in it, than you don't need the knocksensor and you can block the EGR.

Just so you know, the obd2 knock sensors have a square plug, and obd1 knock sensors have a circle plug. They're both just one wire.

 

yea I found that out but I broke the plug on the obd2 one so I just have a wire sticking in there without the plug. Anybody have an obd2 knock sensor plug they dont need?
